About Us

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, established the “MIC” (MHRD Innovation Council) to promote the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in various HEIs (Higher Education Institutes) around the country.Under this strategy, selected HEIs will have their IICs (Institute innovation Council), which will co-ordinate with the Start-up Cell and the E-Cell of the Institute, to create an innovation promotion ecosystem. Working on new ideas and transforming them into prototypes will be its primary focus.

IIC primarily aims for

Vibrant Innovation

Enabling students to come up with path-breaking solutions to indigenous problems, and transform them into functioning prototypes, during their formative years

Supporting Start-Ups

Support start-ups, which will be scouted and pre-incubated, under the guidance of eminent professionals, so that conceived solutions become real.

Pre-Incubation of Ideas

Establish a function ecosystem for scouting and pre-incubation of ideas, giving an extensive oppurtunity, which are indispensable for a young innovator.

Develop better cognitive ability

Develop better cognitive ability for our students, which is in great demand in the rapidly changing global market.

Conducting Innovation, Intellectual Property Rights(IPR) and Entrepreneurship related activities

Rewarding innovations, by sharing their success stories among the enthusiastic student circles

Organizing workshops and seminars, to let investors, entrepreneurs and professionals interact with young minds, for creating a student-mentor pool

Networking students with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations

Creating a specific IIC portal, to highlight the projects it carries out

Organizing Hackathons, mini-challenges etc., with industrial involvement
